Wealth Signal explains what moved markets and shows the evidence. The premise is that most financial media reports numbers without saying where they came from or when they were true, and that a reader can tell the difference.
Who operates this site
Wealth Signal is an independent publication, written and maintained by one person rather than a newsroom. It is not affiliated with any broker, fund, exchange or data vendor, and it takes no money from any company it writes about.
How it is written
Articles are published under the Wealth Signal name rather than individual bylines. Every factual claim carries a link to its source, and every figure carries the date it was observed. The How we work page sets out the standards in full: what counts as a fact, what counts as an interpretation, and what we refuse to publish.
The automated parts of the site are automated all the way down, and say so. The market summary on Markets is generated by a fixed rule from figures whose timestamps are checked for comparability first; when the evidence does not support a statement, it prints nothing rather than filler. The Data Desk briefings fill slots in sentences written by hand. No language model writes the copy on this site.
Where the numbers come from
Intraday quotes come from Finnhub; official daily and monthly series come from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. Where a licensed index is not available to us, we quote a tracking fund and label it as a proxy on the page rather than printing a fund price under an index name. The Data status page lists every displayed field, its source, when it was last observed and whether it refreshes automatically.
Money
Wealth Signal currently earns nothing. There is no advertising, no sponsorship, no affiliate link and no paid placement anywhere on this site. If that changes, it will be disclosed here and in the privacy policy before it happens, not after.
